Minutes from last meeting: Accepted with spelling changes
Treasurer's Report: Approved and accepted
Committee Reports:
Grievance Committee:
- MSHS staff trying to give away a shift to intermittent, management denied, saying it needs to be 3 days prior to shift
- Investigation started on clients death
- Investigation on inappropriate remarks to others
- 3rd steps today ~ do not know what results are yet
Safety Committee:
- MSHS
- Meeting coming up, date unknown at this time
- Review of policies
- Cleaned up mold in tunnels
- MSOCS
- Aug meeting canceled
Labor Mangement:
- Brad Heckes took over for Shaun, finding someone else . Brad is going back to Anoka
- Did management break MOU by not opening the 2 transition homes?
BA Report:
- 2 open seats, AFSCME endorsed candidates are moving forward
- Conference on Saturday has been canceled
- Some positions got filled at AFSCME, see website for more information
- New BA - Diane - wants to get through all the old grievances so that she can start fresh, there is a bunch thats needs to get through
Correspondence:
- Crystal Sugar lock out
- Dues changeing
- Basic Stewards training coming up
- 2012 scholarships - see AFSCME website
Old Business:
- Workplace Bullying Training
New Business:
- HSMS and MSOCS Labor Mangement notes to be posted on website
- MSOCS - Oct 26, HSMS - Oct 10
- Tired of getting nowhere with management - what can we do to change things?
- We want out contract to be honored
Good and Welfare:
- Motion to send staff that is under investigation involving a client death a card and Cub Foods gift card, seconded and passed
