Committee Reports:
- Grievance Committee:
- Sitting in on investigations, client injury and also client restraint not involving a side hold.
- Won a first step on grievance where someone was not called for OE, OE was given to member.
- Fielding many calls regarding issues surronding the St. Cloud project.
- Christmas snow emergency issues.
- Grievance regarding a nightwatch shift being moved to days.
- Sitting in on investigations regarding client SIB.
- Sandy HAthaway to go to steward traiining in April, then willing to accept point person for METO stewards, for now Sue E. will take on this role to assist stewards.
- Paula G. is currently Chief Steward as well.
- Safety Committee:
- METO has very few H1N1 cases, state thinks good precautions are to credit.
- There is an increase of sick use on campus.
- Another lockdown will be done soon.
- Discussion on changing codes to request assitance.
- RPL may return to doing environment checklists.
- not yet licensed 2010, but no surveyers yet.
- Nurses concerns about lighting the pathways between homes at night, hard to see when doing rounds.
- Getting costs to enhance security of Admin building.
- Discussions of medical emergency practices.
- MSOCS to meet in February
- Social Services Health Care Committee:
- Discussed importance of legislative sessions.
- Getting people to DOTH.
- Lobbying.
- Next meeting in March 2010 Co.5.
- Cindy Yund and David Ruth are organizing to assist 700 workers in HCMC.
BA Report:
- Discussed organizing, funds are down and they want to apply for more money to help organize.
- Discussed lobby week in March.

- Pediactric Brain Tumer Foundation donation request

Old Business:
- Audit had been done by Trustees and Treasurer, there is still a lost check not yet cashed.
- A discussion regarding benefits of AFSCME Visa card held.
- Also, an old grievance that was not yet made whole was discussed and is in the process of being pushed to be made whole.
New Business:
- Progressive Dues - need to change by next year, need to read and /or change constituition for better definition.
- On agenda for discussion at next months meeting.
- Motion made, seconded and carried to donate $50.00 to the AFL-CIO Mn Citizens tax, and motion made, seconded and carried to donate $50.00 to Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
- Motion made to increase E Board pay to $75.00 a month. Discussion held and friendly amendment to pay $60.00 a month was put on the table. Motion seconded and carried and E Board members will now recieve $60.00 a month pay.
