Committee Reports:
- Grievance Committee:
- Steward are working on many investigations regarding med errors both at METO and MSOCS
- Some investigations regarding client to client issues
- Client holdings
- One investigation resulted in staff cleared of any wrong doing
- Scheduling issues
- Safety Committee:
- METO meeting in May
- MSOCS discussed the safety check list
- Mantouxs are no longer mandatory for staff
- Health Care Social Services Committee:
BA Report:
- Many grievances
- Some into arbitrations
- 2 have been settled
Correspondence:
- Steward training is available on April 13th and 14th in St. Paul. So far the local is sending 6 members to this training.
- Financiaal training on April 6th and 7th. Officers and stewards encouraged to attend to increase understanding of our locals budget and how it works.
- 2010 Leadership Grants.
- Jerry Clark Memorial Scholarship 2010.
- Council 5 Scholarships.
Old Business:
- 2010 budget is not yet done.
- A meeting will be set up to work on this.
New Business:
- Request made to move meeting time to 3pm. Will bring to the table next month.
- Cambridge dental services have put into practice the use of flex time on campus. This is being looked into.
- Jan Gusik and Laurie Vicklund-Boylan have been sworn into thier new positions.
- March meeting will be the nomination of officers, e board, and 1 trustee position.
- 2nd week of March is local 390 turn to lobby at the capital.
- SEPC conference is April 30th at the Ramada from 7:30 - 3:30. 14 delegates are allowed to attend and others may be placed on the list of alternates.
Good and Welfare:
- Judy Frank's husband passed away. Judy is a former staff from Cambridge campus. Motion made and seconded to send a $25.00 memorial. Approved.
