- Grievance Committee:
- Few investigations
- Texting stewards to see who is available for investigations seems to be working
- Safety Committee:
- MSHS: None this month
- MSOCS: None this month
- Labor Manegment Committee:
- All the places opening up
- September 1st - Cambridge home opens
- Rum River wants to move - serving 48 people - need more space
- North Branch is moving to Harris and use North Branch Home
- North Branch home name change to Elgim home
- Working on getting Harris home leased
- AFSCME is working on training for difficult clients coming in to MSOCS
- Discussion on classifications on clients
- Discussion on getting generators for group homes or having MSHS available for group homes to use in emergencies
- Training correctly when new issues come up, staff should not be disciplined for not being properly trained
- Silly investigations
- Dress code regarding open toed shoes
- Stewards need to be let go for investigations when able
- No shift extensions - Have to call out for a full shift
BA Report:
- Diane Firkus is new Buissness Agent
- Used to be a state employee for 30 years
- Duluth conference - Women's conference
- Organize For Power - Training September 16 & 17
- Ride share - pay for mileage - free - at McCalster College
Correspondence:
- Women Conference Sept 30 - Oct 2, bus will transport to Milwaukee Wisconsin, bus leaves Sept 29 at 5 pm: Cost $103 to $137
- Paula and Cindy possibly interested in going to Womens Conference

- Motion made to give Jan and Milissa $100.00 for hardship
- Encourage members to use food shelf in Duluth and St. Paul AFSCME local Offices
